Since May 2000 the Bedford Chamber of Commerce has been involved in providing Business Diversity training to local Bedford businesses in conjunction with the Bedford Selectmen and the Violence Prevention Coalition of Bedford.  These trainings have been offered on an annual basis to the general BCOC membership as well as by request for smaller groups of employees.  Due to the increased numbers of repeaters in the annual larger offerings, the training task force decided to enhance the diversity section of the BCOC website while continuing to offer the smaller trainings by request.
To that end, we plan to have the Business Diversity Training brochure on the BCOC website as well as some educational tools.  The brochure explains the process for scheduling a small diversity training for your employees, either on-site or at some central location to be determined.  Please check out the resources and let us know if there is other information that might be helpful to you.  Is there an issue that you are dealing with that you would like feedback on or help with?  Send us an email and we will try to help! Those of you who have been trained and have your “Bedford Welcomes Diversity” decal, please let us know if you need another one.  Those of you who have not been trained and would like to get your decal, give us a call!  We would love to have every business in Bedford have their “Bedford Welcomes Diversity” decal proudly displayed.  Once you have completed the training, you will get a certificate of completion plus the decal.Thank you all for your ongoing commitment to being welcoming of diversity in Bedford!
